ePay Punjab: A Convenient Government Payment Gateway
ePay Punjab is a government payment gateway developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board and backed by the Finance Department of Punjab. It is designed to enable the citizens of Punjab to pay their taxes digitally through alternative delivery channels (ADC). With ePay Punjab, individuals can conveniently pay their dues using internet banking, ATM, or over-the-counter (OTC) banking transactions.
To initiate the payment process, users can access the ePay application or website to generate a unique 17-digit PSID number for each transaction. This PSID number can then be used on the three payment channels mentioned earlier to make the tax payments. The payment channels have been technologically equipped to process the payments in collaboration with the Finance Department of Punjab, State Bank of Pakistan, 1-Link, all scheduled banks, and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
In its first phase (FY 18-19), ePay Punjab allows for the payment of various tax receipts. These include Token Tax for Vehicle, Motor Vehicle Registration, Vehicle Transfer, Property Tax, Professional Tax, Cotton Fee, e-Stamping, Mutation Fee, Fard Fee, and Business Registration Fee.
